-- To receive a team T-shirt and team swim cap (silicone), you must register and pay fees by May 1, 2026.
-- To pay by check, your check must be received by May 1, 2026. You can only pay by check through April 28th on our website, so that checks arrive by May 1st. Mail checks early!
    Payments after May 1^st must be made by credit card. 
-- Families must register with USA Swimming and pay $50 per swimmer directly to USA Swimming, unless the swimmer is already registered with a year round USA Swimming team. Swimmers will not be allowed to enter the water until payment is received by WCST and WCST verifies that a swimmer has a valid USA Swimming membership.

For the 2026 season we will continue to implement fines for families who fail to fulfill their volunteer commitment. Prior to the start of the season, you will be required to select all of your volunteer shift obligations before your child is eligible to swim in a meet.

If you find you are unable to fulfill one of the shifts you selected, it is up to you to find a replacement and communicate those changes to the volunteer coordinator. If a volunteer does not show for a position, then a $100 fine will be implemented for that shift. The fine will need to be paid to the team before the swimmer is allowed to participate in future meets. If a volunteer does not show for a position at the Northland Conference meet, then a $250 fine will be implemented for that shift.

Families with outstanding fines for unfulfilled obligations will not be allowed to register for the subsequent year until payment is made. 

Fees cover expenses such as coaching, insurance, Northland Swim Conference fees, t-shirts and equipment (public address system, upkeep on equipment such as blocks, starter, lane ropes, flags, tables, computer/printer, etc.). All families must pay for their swimmer registration (choose from 6 categories, listed below), a family fundraising fee (see below) and their USA Swimming fee (see below, paid directly to USA Swimming).

Fees

• Walnut Creek Residents:  The WCST fee is $150 per swimmer.  The swimmer's home address determines residency and will be verified by the Walnut Creek South Homes Association (WCSHA). Resident families must be in good standing with the WCSHA before they can participate on the swim team.
• Walnut Creek Resident New in 2026:  The WCST fee is $50 per swimmer because the WCSHA provides a very generous "subsidy" of $100.00 toward WCST fees for each resident swimmer who joins the team as a new member in 2025. WCSHA subsidies apply only up to total WCST fee amounts. 
• Walnut Creek Residents New in 2025:  The WCST fee is $100 per swimmer because the WCSHA again provides a very generous "subsidy" of $50.00 toward team fees for each resident swimmer who was a new member in the 2025 season and continues as a member in the 2026 season. WCSHA subsidies only apply up to total the WCST fee amounts.
• Non-Residents:  The WCST fee is $170 per swimmer.                                                                                                                                                               
• Family Registration Fee:  A $40 per family registration fee is added to the WCST fees to cover some of the expenses listed above. 
• New! USA Swimming Fee: The USA Swimming fee is $50 per swimmer. Note: If you have a year round swimmer, you have already registered with and paid USA Swimming.
• Late Fees: A $20 late fee will be assessed for late registrations or payments made after May 15th - for returning swimmers.

Note: You must register each swimmer under the correct registration. The Registration forms on this website may not correctly calculate your fees if your family has swimmers in more than 1 category above. Please contact the Board if your fees do not calculate correctly. 

Discounts Offered

• Sibling Discounts apply to WCST fees (but they cannot be stacked with WCSHA subsidies or applied to USA Swimming fees): 
  - $10 discount for each sibling
• Sponsorship Incentive: Families will receive a $40 credit toward the family registration fee if you bring in a Sponsor that donates at least $250 to WCST. Please email the Board with Sponsor information. When WCST receives the donation, we will refund your $40 registration fee.  Sponsor logos must be received by the Board by May 1st to be included on the team T-shirt for the season. • USA Swimming Outreach Program! Your swimmer may be eligible for a discounted USA Swimming fee if they qualify for the Free and Reduced Lunch Program (or other program). If you would like more information, please email the Board. 
• Officials’ Discount Code- If you are an official, please email the Board and we will send you a discount code to use with your registration.

Payment Methods

Paying by Credit Card:  Please note that if you pay online by credit card through this website you will be charged an online fee of 3.4% + $.30.

Paying by Check:  You may also mail a check to be received by May 1st, 2026, to:

Swimmers Cannot Practice Until Fully Registered
Swimmers are not fully registered and cannot participate in practices until:

1.  WCST fees are received; and 

2.  USA Swimming fees are paid, and WCST verifies that a swimmer has a valid USA Swimming membership.

If a refund is requested through the team email by June 1^st, the team will refund the WCST fees paid minus a $10 administrative fee and any external fees already paid to third parties (Northland Swim Conference fees, T-shirts, etc.).  We cannot refund fees paid to USA Swimming.
