Practices
Swimmers should attend practice as often as they can, but we understand scheduling conflicts arise during the summer swim season. It is at practice where the swimmers and coaches will work together to establish and build a good swimming foundation through instruction on starts, turns, stroke mechanics, and competitive techniques. Our desire is for the children to learn that through consistent work, they can achieve their desired results and goals.
Walnut Creek awards swimmers a Personal Best ribbon after each swim meet where the swimmer improves on their previous, fastest swim time. These ribbons, along with any ribbons earned for placing 1st-6th in events at the meet, are handed out to swimmers on Fun Friday's (see Practice Schedule).
